Malina, Founder

Ever since I was little, I've always loved animals. I started walking dogs at age twelve for the Berkeley Humane Society, and volunteered in the cat rooms. All through middle school I spent my free time volunteering at the Milo Foundation. In addition to spending my free time at the shelter, I also starting fostering dogs and cats that needed extra love and attention so that I could help them thrive.

In 2016, I graduated from Chico State with a Bachelors in Animal Science. At Chico state I had internships at the University's dairy and the sheep and goat unit. I also interned at the Kirshner Wildlife Reserve working with wildlife and exotic animals. After graduation I went to South Africa, where I volunteered at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. (Moholoholo). Upon my return, I became an adoption counselor at the Peninsula SPCA where I spent a year helping dogs, cats, reptiles and small animals find their forever homes. The last two years prior to starting my business full time I worked at a Holistic Veterinary Practice.

In April 2019 I took the DogBiz dog walking academy. I am a dog walking academy graduate, I am also DogTec certified in canine first aid/CPR. Our company follows the Dogbiz business code of ethics and use positive reinforcement techniques. Pawsitively Paws was established April 22,2019.

Hi there! While I just recently moved to Oregon, my adoration for animals is a love affair that began a long time ago. At a young age I found myself restless and looking for some new friends to fill my time. This promptly led to flyers being passed around my neighborhood to promote my dog-walking services. While my business was short-lived, my love has continued on, and the last 15 years have been spent volunteering, having a fur-family of my own, and connecting with animals of all kinds (in all walks of life!). I'm blessed to be able to spend my free time on farms, further forming connections with both the animals that live there and the land they live on. I can't wait to get to know each and every one of you!

I'm Daria! I recently moved to Portland from Montana to study social work at PSU. I enjoy art, being outdoors, and spending time with my dogs. I look forward to meeting all your sweet animals!

Hi! I'm Jane Hall, pictured with my sweet fluffy cat, Statue. I am a student at PCC for early education, I love anything active including rock climbing, hiking and camping! I love all animals, cats and dogs and I can't wait to meet your animals!

Hello, I'm Misty! I've always been drawn to animals, both pets and wildlife. I love to travel and explore the wilderness where I can meet local birds and perhaps cross paths with creatures unique to that landscape! I had dogs growing up and I've lived with many cats and other small animals over the years. Just out of college one of my first jobs was working at a daycare for dogs in Atlanta. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years and I've always been excited to pet sit for friends and co-workers. I absolutely love to spend time walking and exploring, especially with our canine friends! I also have a special place in my heart for cats and any small animal as they bring me so much joy! My wish is to pay that joy forward to all the animals I meet.
