About Us:

Malina, Founder

Ever since I was little, I've always loved animals.  I started walking dogs at age twelve for the Berkeley Humane Society, and volunteered in the cat rooms. All through middle school I spent my free time volunteering at the Milo Foundation. In addition to spending my free time at the shelter, I also starting fostering dogs and cats that needed extra love and attention so that I could help them thrive.

In 2016, I  graduated from Chico State with a Bachelors in Animal Science.  At Chico state I had internships at the University's dairy and the sheep and goat unit. I also interned at the Kirshner Wildlife Reserve working with wildlife and exotic animals. After graduation I went to South Africa, where I volunteered at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. (Moholoholo). Upon my return, I became an adoption counselor at the Peninsula SPCA where I spent a year helping dogs, cats, reptiles and small animals find their forever homes.  The last two years prior to starting my business full time I worked at a holistic veterinary practice.

In April 2019 I  took the DogBiz dog walking academy. I am a dog walking academy graduate, I am also DogTec certified in canine first aid/CPR.  Our company follows the Dogbiz business code of ethics and use positive reinforcement techniques.  Pawsitively Paws  was established April 22,2019.
