I’ve always loved animals. I volunteered at an animal shelter for 6 years and I learned to care for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and even the occasional lizard. I became very comfortable around a variety of animal behaviors and had a super fun time getting to meet so many different pets. I’m very passionate about creating a calm, safe, and fun environment for any animal and I’ll treat your pets with just as much care as I do my own :)

My motto is stress free pet sitting: Cat or dog, big or small, I’m here for them all! I am super passionate about our nonhuman companions and helping them feel secure and happy. Some of my special skills include administering medications, feeding specialized diets, discerning pet behavior and utilizing basic training and deescalation. I also have experience caring for the unique needs of puppies, kittens, and senior pets. 

Hello! My name’s Abby and I grew up in the Portland metro area. I went to Oregon State University for my first year of college and I was studying psychology and sociology, later that year I decided to move back to Portland and now I’m currently studying finance at Portland State University! I have a German Shepard husky mix as well and I love him like he’s my kid, I’ve had him for 2 years now and he’s brought nothing but positivity into my life. I love being around dogs and cats and, I promise, I will love your pets just as much as I love mine and give them the same amount of attention, positive affection, and comfort as mine because that’s what every pet deserves. Very excited to hang out with/meet your pets!

I'm Daria! I recently moved to Portland from Montana to study social work at PSU. I enjoy art, being outdoors, and spending time with my dogs. I look forward to meeting all your sweet animals!

I purchased my first dog, a Great Dane (Droolius Caesar) in 2019. He was 20 weeks old and I was immediately in love. I learned everything I could about his breed and spent as much time as I could training him. About a year later, we decided Caesar needed a sister. We purchased a tiny teacup Yorkie and named her Cleopawtra. As with Ceasar, I learned everything I could about Yorkies so I could train her too. 

Then, the pandemic hit. Being quarantined meant I had even more time to work with my dogs. I quickly learned that this was what I was meant to do. I researched how to become a certified dog trainer. I enrolled in a program that focused on Positive Force Free training based on LIMA principles. While taking classes, I worked at a dog day care. It was a great experience and gave me the opportunity to work with dogs of all breeds, ages, levels of socialization, etc. 

After graduation I started my own training business (Muttropolis Dog Training). I love interactions with all animals. I am excited to work with all the fur babies here at Pawsitively Paws.
