From a young age, I have been passionate about working with animals. At just twelve years old, I began volunteering for the Berkeley Humane Society, walking dogs and assisting in the cat rooms. Throughout middle school, I dedicated my free time to volunteering at the Milo Foundation, and I soon began fostering dogs and cats who needed extra care and attention to thrive.
In 2016, I graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. During my time at Chico State, I completed internships at the university's dairy as well as its sheep and goat unit. I also interned at the Kirshner Wildlife Foundation, where I worked closely with wildlife and exotic animals. After graduation, I traveled to South Africa to volunteer at the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, further expanding my hands-on experience with animal care on an international level.
Upon returning to the United States, I served as an adoption counselor at the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA, helping dogs, cats, reptiles, and small animals find their forever homes. Before launching my business full-time, I spent two years working at a holistic veterinary practice, gaining valuable experience in integrative animal care.
In 2019, I completed the DogBiz Dog Walking Academy, earning certification in canine first aid and CPR through DogTec. Pawsitively Paws, established on April 22, 2019, is founded on the DogBiz Code of Ethics and is dedicated to using positive reinforcement techniques in all our services.
At Pawsitively Paws, we are committed to providing compassionate, professional, and trustworthy care for your pets. Please feel free to reach out with any questions — we look forward to hearing from you!
Hi! My name is Andromeda, but I got by Andi. First thing you should know about me is that I love all animals more then anything else on the planet. I have lived in Washington my entire life, and I love the area, even the weather, I have no issues taking animals for walks in the rain, or even the snow. I have lived with all kinds of animals ( dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, lizards, snakes, goats, horses, Etc) my entire life. I have always been the de facto Animal Career for my friends and family, and I love it! I first started walking animals professionally at the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society when I was 10 and have been doing it ever since both professionally and just for the joy of it, I have worked in other animal related fields such as animal grooming and volunteering at a few different humane societys taking care of the animals, and for a brief time at a vets office. I also have some experience training dogs, my dogs, I am by no means a licensed dog trainer, however I do know how to correct dog behavior. I would love the opportunity to meet and care for your wonderful critters!
Hi, I'm Chloe and I have been working in the pet care industry since 2021. I've loved animals for as long as I can remember and getting to work with them as a career has been the best thing I could have ever asked for! I strive to provide positive and fun experiences for your pets as well as bring you comfort while you are away!
Hi, I’m Jasmine, I have a passion for animals, but none of my own. I will always treat your animal like they were mine. I am committed to giving your fur baby the walks, love and attention they would expect to receive if you were home with them. I will happily give your pets any medications or follow any special instructions you may have. You can count on your animals to be safe and happy with me!
Hi everyone!
My name is Magdalena and I have lived in Washington state for just about all of my life. I love living in the PNW - yes, rain and all! :) I have been working with animals (specifically dogs & cats) for about 4 years now. I adopted my first puppy (named Zombie) last year and have learned so much. She is a fur ball of non stop energy and my best friend. We are always together training, playing at the park, hiking, walking, or relaxing at home. I am happy to be on the team and am super excited to meet new fur babies.
Hi! I'm Desi, a student working toward my degree in Environmental Science. When I’m not studying, you can usually find me outdoors with my pets, including my hound dog Chief, my cat Enzo, four quirky ducks (Bea, Irene, Lemon, and Quackthulu), and my turtle Verde. I have experience in dog training classes and have been involved in canine 4-H, which has given me a solid understanding of animal care and behavior. As an animal lover and passionate about the environment, I bring a caring, responsible approach to every walk. Whether it’s a stroll around the block or a fun outdoor adventure, I’m here to give your pets the care and attention they deserve.
